This Privacy Policy explains how wheels.ae ("we", "our", "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our marketplace application. By using wheels.ae, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following information to provide our services:

• Phone number — used to create your account and verify your identity via SMS.
• Name — shown to other users on your listings.
• Listing details and photos — the car, part, or service information you choose to publish.
• City — to show relevant listings and help buyers find you.
• Messages — chat content between buyers and sellers within the app.
• Device push token — an identifier issued by Apple or Google that lets us deliver notifications about new messages and listing status. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
• Advertising identifier and app activity — where permitted, we collect your device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Google Advertising ID on Android), IP address, general device information, and records of certain in-app actions. See section 4 for details.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to operate the marketplace: to display your listings, enable communication between buyers and sellers, verify accounts, send notifications you have opted into, prevent fraud and abuse, measure the effectiveness of our advertising, and improve the app experience.

3. Sharing of information

Your name, listing details, photos, city, and the phone number you provide on a listing are visible to other users so they can contact you. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We use the following service providers:

• Google Firebase — to store data, authenticate users, host content, and deliver push notifications. Their use of data is governed by Google's privacy policy.
• Message Central (VerifyNow) — to deliver the one-time SMS code used to verify your phone number. Your phone number is shared with them solely for this purpose.
• Apple Push Notification service — to deliver notifications on iOS devices.
• Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook) — to measure and optimise our advertising campaigns. See section 4 for details.

4. Analytics and advertising

We advertise wheels.ae on Facebook and Instagram. To understand which campaigns bring us users, the app includes the Meta SDK, which may collect:

• Your device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Google Advertising ID on Android)
• Your IP address and general device information (model, operating system, language)
• App events, such as opening the app, completing registration, viewing a listing, and publishing a listing

This information is used solely to attribute app installs to our advertising campaigns, measure campaign performance, and improve how our ads are delivered. We do not share your name, phone number, listing content, or messages with Meta.

Your choices. On iOS, this tracking only takes place if you grant permission when the App Tracking Transparency prompt appears; you can change your decision at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Google → Ads. Declining does not restrict any feature of the app.

Meta's handling of this data is governed by their Data Policy.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

6. Data retention

We retain your account information and listings while your account is active. When you delete a listing it is removed from public view. When you request account deletion, we remove your personal data, except where we are required to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

7. Your rights

You can edit or delete your listings at any time from "My ads". You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below. You may also request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

8. Reporting and moderation

Listings are reviewed before publication. Users can report inappropriate content and block other users. We may remove listings or restrict accounts that violate our Terms of Use. We operate a no-tolerance policy toward objectionable content and abusive behavior.

9. Children's privacy

wheels.ae is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such data, we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
